Use this calendar to plot your community projects throughout the year.

Ongoing

  • Run membership reports
  • Review CAA guidelines to identify completed activities and plan activities
  • Blog, tweet, and post about community events
  • Publish newsletters
  • Attend leadership webinars
  • Communicate with other leaders to collaborate
  • Write thank-yous to volunteers
  • Notify STC Notebook editor of your community’s events in the upcoming month

Once Per Year

  • Hold elections, even if uncontested
  • Send election results and leadership roster to the office and CAC
  • Hold leadership transition meetings
  • Plan programming meetings
  • Update leadership names on the community website

January

  • President: Submit the Community Achievement Award application
  • President: Submit the Community Pacesetter Award application
  • Membership: Run report for members who did not renew by December 31, and remind those members to renew to be eligible to vote in STC election
  • Community Leadership Team: Annual Planning
  • Community Leadership Team: Attend the CAC leadership webinars
  • Update community brochure or fact sheet

February

  • Community Leadership Team: Send representatives to the Leadership Program at the STC Summit
  • Community Leadership Team: Get takeaways from Summit Leadership Program attendee

June

  • President: Research and encourage eligible members to apply for Associate Fellow
  • President: Hold an annual event to recognize all community volunteers
  • Community Leadership Team: Submit suggestions for Society-level officers to the Nominating Committee
