Jessie Mallory is a Technical Project Manager for cybersecurity software products at Nuix. In her role, she communicates with all parts of the company, leads several project teams, and coaches teams on Agile adoption. Before becoming a Project Manager, Jessie got her start as a Technical Writer.
Jessie is on the Board of Directors and is the Chair of STC’s Community Affairs Committee (CAC). She served as the President of the Philadelphia Metro Chapter for the 2015-2016 year. During that year, the council started a scholarship that made STC membership free for participating students and won the Platinum Community Achievement Award. She is also a member of the Project Management Institute Delaware Valley Chapter where she leads a team of Membership Ambassadors.
A native of Michigan, Jessie began her studies at Saginaw Valley State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional and Technical Writing. While in school, she interned as a writer and editor for several local magazines and a scholarly journal. Prior to her appointment at Nuix, Jessie worked as a Technical Writer for the Oracle Primavera Global Business Unit. During her time at Oracle, she was the lead writer for three products and served as the Translation Coordinator for two years.
Todd DeLuca (aka ‘TechCommTodd’) has over 15 years of experience as a technical writer and manager. An active contributor to the profession, he is a remote-based worker and passionate about professional development, including speaking and utilizing side gigs to learn, advance, and meet other writers. His professional background includes content management, editing, client communication, graphic design, and software development documentation. Todd is an Associate Fellow and volunteer leader with the Society for Technical Communication (STC), including serving the role of Director. Other activities include Intercom magazine contributor, Conference Chair of STC Summit conference, and Philadelphia Metro Chapter president. Todd has a Master degree in Technical and Scientific Communication (MTSC) from Miami University (Ohio) and speaks regularly at various regional and national conferences. Recently, I was employed as Business Head – Technical Communication at Persistent Systems. Now, I work as an Independent Consultant. I have been involved in technical communication for 23+ years. I am a senior member of STC. I have served STC, and STC India for 20+ years in assorted positions, including: Immediate Past President, Election Officer, President, Secretary, and so on.
Currently, I’m a STC Community Affairs Committee member and Social Media Director. I am also serving as an Editorial Advisory Board member for Technical Communication since 2015. I was a jury member for the 2015 Frank R. Smith Award.
In 2015, I was named Associate Fellow and awarded the Distinguished Chapter Service Award.
My passion is technical communication, and I have focused on promoting technical communication through my association with Society for Technical Communication (STC) India Chapter for the last 20+ years since its inception. I have been actively contributing towards the chapter activities at various leadership levels during these years. I have been elected President of the STC India Chapter for the year 2018 – for the second time. Previously, in 2013 too, I served as the President of the STC India chapter. In 2014 – I was the Immediate Past President.
Prior to joining the software industry, I had multi-disciplinary experience across various fields including journalism, corporate communications, public relations, training, and management. I have several human interest and social articles in addition to some poems published in leading publications. I have has also organized many events, promotional activities, press conferences, and related activities.
I have completed my post-graduate degree in Communication and Journalism from Pune University. I have also completed my Masters in Business Administration. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree from Fergusson College. Additionally, I have pursued my studies in computers, English literature and German language.
Sara Feldman has over 10 years of experience as a technical writer, primarily in the software industry and focused on online support. Her professional interests include strategies for effective content and content metrics. She earned her BS in Technical Communication and Communication Studies from James Madison University. Sara has been a community leader with STC San Diego since 2016.
Alex Garcia is a Senior Technical Writer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Orlando, FL. He earned two concurrent bachelor’s degrees from the University of Central Florida (UCF): English—Technical Communication and Space Engineering Technology. He fulfilled a life-goal as a System Engineer for the Space Shuttle Program until he transitioned full time into aerospace Technical Communication. Throughout the years, he has gained expertise in hardware documentation, proposal writing, and instructional system design for a government audience. An STC member for 13 years, he has held just about every role in the Florida Chapter: student leader of the Future Technical Communicators Club at UCF, Mentoring Co-Chair, Jaffe Award Chair, Editor-in-Chief of Memo to Members Newsletter, Chapter Treasurer for two years, and Chapter President (two terms). For his leadership and dedication, the Society awarded him the Distinguished Service Award for Students (DSAS) in 2006 and the Distinguished Chapter Service Award (DCSA) in 2013 and 2015. Alex is excited to bring his enthusiasm for the profession to the 2018-2019 STC CAC as Outreach Director.
As the Pharmacy Communication Advisor for H-E-B, Jamye helps design training programs and materials for various projects and initiatives in the pharmacy department, including use of their proprietary prescription dispensing software and health screening programs. She also manages communications between the corporate office and the store pharmacies.
A Senior Member of STC, Jamye volunteers with the Instructional Design and Learning SIG with Social Media and Surveys, and recently became Treasurer. Jamye also belongs to the Policies & Procedures SIG, the Technical Editing SIG, and the Women in Tech Comm SIG. She also volunteers at the Society level as the SIG Outreach director for the Community Affairs Committee and had served as the 2017-18 chair of the Community Achievement Award and Pacesetter Award committees.
When not making “sense out of the seemingly senseless” in the tech comm world, Jamye enjoys transforming yarn into pretty and useful objects (and keeping her cats away from said yarn while knitting!).
Timothy Esposito is a Principal Technical Writer at Oracle Corporation where he works on logistics software. An STC member since 2005, for the Philadelphia Metro Chapter Timothy has served as Scholarship Chair, Treasurer, Webmaster, Vice President, and President. During his term as PMC president, STC-PMC won a Pacesetter award, the platinum level Community Achievement Award twice, and was named Community of the Year for 2017. Additionally, Tim has participated in the 2012 and 2015 STC budget review committees, worked on the Scholarship Committee and Community Affairs Committees, chaired committees including the Distinguished Chapter Service Award Committee and the Community Achievement Award/Community Pacesetter Committee, written book reviews for Technical Communication Journal, helped plan the STC NY-PMC-Rochester-Atlanta regional competition, and assisted in organizing and running the PMC Mid-Atlantic Technical Communication Conference, while managing the technology for the chapter. In 2015 he won the Distinguished Chapter Service Award and in 2016 became an Associate Fellow. Rachel has led a versatile 22-year career as a technical communicator, which includes being a lone writer, contractor, and an employee in various industries.
She is an STC Fellow, past Society-level Secretary for STC, past program chair of the STC Summit, competition judge, and book reviewer for the STC journal, Technical Communication. Rachel was actively involved in the STC Willamette Valley community from 1998 to 2013, holding many positions on the leadership council, including chapter president. From 2013 to the present, Rachel has turned her talents to the STC Phoenix chapter, and is currently serving as the website content editor.
Since 1999, Rachel has also been a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and STC’s unofficial photographer at many local and international STC events. Her photographs have appeared in STC Intercom, the Willamette Valley Chapter website and newsletter, the Phoenix chapter website, and STC’s Notebook blog.
Dr. Jackie Damrau is an STC Fellow and the Book Review Editor for Technical Communication. She also serves on multiple STC committees: elected member of the Nominating Committee (2018-2020), the 2018-2019 Community Affairs Committee as a Senior Advisor, and the 2018-2019 Community Achievement Award and Pacesetters Committee. Jackie is a current member of the STC North Texas Lone Star chapter and the Instructional Design & Learning SIG.
Jackie is a Senior Business Analyst and Scrum Master at a global commercial real estate company. As a Scrum Master, she scrums for two teams: one onshore, non-colocated; one offshore. Jackie assists the business analysts and developers in writing effective user stories and acceptance criteria, and often is called upon to model business processes using BPMN modeling notation. At work, she is also instrumental in leading or serving on two Employee Engagement task force subcommittees for her Digital & Technology tower.

Elaine has been with STC since December 2006. Prior to coming to STC she served as the Convention Operations Manager for the American Diabetes Association National Office, and Meetings and Exhibition Manager for Document Management Industries Association (DMIA). Elaine has also held positions in a variety of corporate environments including STG, Inc. (at the client site), Xerox Corporation, Mills Corporation, and Manpower employment service. Elaine has maintained her CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification since 1996.
